Colleen Sexton is not your ordinary singer/songwriter. While her voice has been called everything from jazzy to earthy to passionate, what she hasn't yet been called is an all-around great entertainer. Her pure joy and love of entertaining an audience shows through in every song and in every performance. She's a live wire, a hot ticket and a savvy performer all rolled into a single package.

Greatest Find is her third and most accomplished recording. She employs the talents of such outstanding musicians as Janis Ian (on vocals and guitar), Cliff Eberhardt (on guitars) and brother Martin Sexton (on vocals and guitar). Her band includes Steve Dawson on guitars, Jesse Zubot on violin and mandolin, Tim Kelly on guitars, dobro and electric bass, Andrew Downig on bass and Elliott Polsky on percussion.

Colleen's skills as both a singer and songwriter come together on one of the recording's best cuts, Benediction:
Do you really think you've found salvation
Or just a saint to crucify
Have you made yourself a martyr with intention
All the while your demons satisfied

Her voice shines with that famed passion, showcasing her beautifully crafted lyrics, while Janis Ian lends a hand on guitar and backing vocals.

School Days features Cliff Eberhardt's unmistakable dobro with Martin Sexton on backing guitar and distinctive vocals. The song has a traditional sound updated for the contemporary music scene with its call and respond vocal style - as if in church or in school. Its simple melody belies its complicated musical structure. A superb song.

Dear Arlene is a Colleen Sexton signature tune. It's been recorded on both her Live CD and on the original RESPOND collection. Its jazz stylings and passionate delivery make it a standout and a joy to listen to.

If you are already a Colleen Sexton fan, you will want to add this, her best work to date, to your collection. If you are new to this multi-talented artist, take the plunge and give Greatest Find a spin. I assure you that the superbly crafted tunes, and yes, the earthy, exuberant tones of Ms. Sexton's voice will keep you in thrall for days to come. She is no doubt one of the most exciting entertainers on the contemporary acoustic music scene. Greatest Find is a winner.
